This Privacy Policy describes how Riyah Apparel (“RIYAH Apparel”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and shares your personal information when you visit or buy from riyahapparel.com (the “Site”), request a quote, or order through a Custom Store. We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

Information we collect

  • Device information. When you visit the Site, we automatically collect information about your device, including your browser, IP address, time zone and some cookies, plus the pages and products you view and how you found the Site. We collect it using cookies, log files, and web beacons, tags and pixels.
  • Order information. When you buy or try to buy, we collect your name, billing and shipping address, payment information, email address and phone number.
  • Custom order information. For custom and team orders, we collect the names, numbers and sizes to be printed, artwork you send, and the organizer’s contact details. Organizers may share their group’s names and sizes with us.

How we use it

  • To fulfil orders: processing payment, producing and shipping orders, and sending invoices and confirmations.
  • To run Custom Stores and pay fundraiser amounts to organizers.
  • To communicate with you and screen orders for risk or fraud.
  • To improve the Site, for example through analytics on how visitors use it.
  • To send news about drops and promotions, only with your consent (see Email marketing below).

Sharing

We share personal information only with the services we need to run the business: Shopify (our store platform), payment processors, shipping carriers and print suppliers. We never sell your personal information. We may also share information to comply with the law, respond to a lawful request, or protect our rights.

Relationship with Shopify

Our store is hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Site in order to provide and improve it. Information you submit is shared with Shopify, and with service providers that may be located outside Canada. Youth players

Names and numbers for youth teams are provided by an adult organizer, parent or guardian, and are used only to make that order. The Site is not directed to children, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information directly from anyone under 16. If you think we have, contact us and we will delete it.

Email marketing

If you sign up for our email list, we send you news about RIYAH drops and offers until you unsubscribe. Customers may also receive emails for up to 2 years after a purchase, as permitted by Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and we honour unsubscribes within 10 business days.

Cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. We do not change our data practices in response to a browser’s Do Not Track signal.

Storage and retention

Our service providers may store information outside British Columbia, including in the rest of Canada and the United States. We keep order information for our records for seven (7) years for tax purposes, unless you ask us to delete information we are not required to keep.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or withdraw your consent to its use (which may affect our ability to fill an order). Email hello@riyahapparel.com.

Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our practices or for legal reasons. The date at the top shows the latest version.
